BLS projects childcare worker employment to decline 2% from 2025 to 2035, but about 150,300 openings a year, all from replacing workers who leave the occupation or the workforce.

BLS publishes wages by occupation, not job title.
Only a few childcare titles are a BLS occupation; most borrow a broader or related occupation, and several have no BLS figure at all.
