Our October 2026 check found no posted La Petite Academy teacher pay rate: its parent company, Learning Care Group, lists benefits and a fully funded CDA program on its careers page but no hourly wage.
As benchmarks, BLS puts the May 2025 national medians at $16.82/hour for childcare workers and $18.34/hour for preschool teachers.
A current posting that lists pay, or your offer letter, is the only La Petite-specific number.
La Petite Academy pay by role: what's published and what to benchmark against
La Petite Academy is one of the brands of Learning Care Group — the same parent company behind Childtime, Tutor Time, The Children's Courtyard, Everbrook Academy, Montessori Unlimited and Creative Kids Learning Center.
The parent's careers page lists benefits but showed no wage rates when we read it in October 2026: no employer-posted hourly pay for Learning Care Group, Childtime, La Petite Academy or Tutor Time teachers was found.
So we have no published La Petite Academy rate to quote for any classroom role.
What does exist is the Bureau of Labor Statistics benchmark for the occupations center teaching roles fall into, from the May 2025 national survey:
- Childcare workers (SOC 39-9011) — the BLS category that covers aides, assistants and many lead teachers in centers — earned a national median of $16.82 per hour ($34,980 a year). The 10th percentile earned $11.66 and the 90th $22.12.
- Preschool teachers except special education (SOC 25-2011) — the benchmark for lead preschool and pre-K teachers — earned a national median of $18.34 per hour ($38,140 a year). The 10th percentile earned $13.94 and the 90th $29.52.
- Preschool and childcare center directors (SOC 11-9031) earned a national median of $28.51 per hour ($59,300 a year).
These medians describe each occupation across the employers BLS surveys nationally, not what any particular La Petite Academy school pays — we found no published company figure that would place a specific school above or below them.
They still show the shape of a center pay scale, on the mapping above: aides, assistants and many center lead teachers fall in the childcare-worker category, lead preschool and pre-K teachers in the preschool-teacher category, and directors well above both.

Benefits and the staff child care discount
Learning Care Group lists these benefits for team members on its careers page — the closest thing to a public statement of La Petite Academy compensation:
- A 50% child care discount, available from your start date
- Paid wellness days
- Retirement programs with matching dollars
- DailyPay — immediate or next-day access to your earnings
- Tuition reimbursement
- A fully funded Child Development Associate (CDA) credential program
- The Learning Care Master Teacher certification program, the company's own certification track
For a teacher whose own children need care, the 50% discount is worth pricing alongside the hourly rate when you compare offers, and the funded CDA matters if the credential is your next step.
One caution: the list is published by the parent company, not by an individual school, so the depth of each benefit at your specific school — waiting periods, which roles qualify, when the discount starts counting — is a question to put to the school in writing before you accept an offer.

How La Petite Academy pay compares with other centers
Our research found no like-for-like chain-versus-chain pay data to consult.
We found no SEC filings for Learning Care Group, and our research verified no employer-published pay rates for it or for Childcare Network, Primrose, Goddard, Kiddie Academy or The Learning Experience.
Public-company filings don't close the gap: KinderCare's annual report names no teacher hourly pay figure, and no KinderCare-posted wage number was found either.
With nothing comparable on the table, we don't rank chains by pay.
The fair public yardstick is the industry La Petite Academy operates in.
Center-based care falls in BLS child care services (NAICS 6244), where childcare workers earned a median of $16.43 per hour ($34,170 a year) in May 2025, versus $17.80 per hour for childcare workers in elementary and secondary schools.
For preschool teachers the gap between schools and child care services is wider: $27.29 per hour ($56,750 a year) in elementary and secondary schools versus $17.72 per hour ($36,850 a year) in child care services.
How a brand is owned changes how you read its pay, too.
At Primrose Schools, each school's franchise owner is the employer and sets its own wage and benefit programs, which vary between owners; The Goddard School describes the same franchisee-as-employer setup, and Kiddie Academy says the employer at its locations may be an independent franchise operator.
La Petite Academy's team-member benefits are published centrally by its parent company.
La Petite Academy pay by state and market
Because no La Petite rate was found in our research, no La Petite Academy figure at state or city level turned up either — the number that counts is the one attached to an opening at the school you would work in.
What the market contributes is visible in public data: state minimum wages set different floors from state to state (the federal minimum is $7.25 per hour, state minimums vary and many are higher), and BLS also publishes median wages for these occupations by state.
Our daycare teacher salary page collects the childcare-worker medians state by state from the same May 2025 release, with a link to preschool-teacher pay by state.
Set a posted range — where any center's posting gives one — against your state's median, and you can tell whether an offer sits above or below the local market.
How to find La Petite Academy teacher openings
The employer's own postings are where any dated La Petite Academy pay range will appear: if a current posting lists a rate or range, that is an actual, employer-published figure you can point to in the interview.
Treat third-party estimate sites with caution — their figures are not employer-published, and none was verified in our research.
To compare several employers at once, ChildcareHires lists childcare teacher jobs at centers and preschools, so you can weigh posted pay and benefits side by side before you apply anywhere.
- The posted rate or range for the specific role and classroom — and the date of the posting
- Whether the 50% child care discount applies at your school, and from which date
- What the funded CDA program and tuition reimbursement cover for your role
- How moving from assistant to lead teacher changes pay at that school
