Hiring an Infant Teacher? Show your opening to early educators looking for their next classroom.
Post a Job →An infant teacher cares for and teaches babies, usually from about six weeks to twelve or eighteen months, following each baby's own feeding, sleeping and diapering schedule while supporting early language and motor development.
Infant rooms run at the tightest staff-to-child ratios in a center, so infant teachers spend most of the day in close one-on-one care.
BLS publishes no separate wage for infant teachers; this is all childcare workers (SOC 39-9011), employees only. Source: BLS OEWS May 2025, SOC 39-9011 Childcare Workers. BLS pay excludes overtime and the self-employed.
