We found no published Tutor Time pay scale.
Learning Care Group — the company that owns the Tutor Time brand alongside Childtime and La Petite Academy — lists benefits on its careers page, and our research found no employer-published pay figure for Tutor Time teachers.
What is public instead: the federal benchmarks for the roles centers hire, including a May 2025 median of $16.43 an hour for childcare workers in child care services.
Typical pay by role: what's actually published
Tutor Time is one of the brands of Learning Care Group, whose brand list also includes Childtime Learning Centers, La Petite Academy, The Children's Courtyard, Everbrook Academy, Montessori Unlimited and Creative Kids Learning Center.
The brand and the parent company post no wage rates that we found: the Learning Care Group careers page we read lists benefits but no hourly figures, and our research found no employer-posted pay for Tutor Time, Childtime or La Petite Academy teachers.
With no company figure to quote, the honest benchmark is the federal one.
The BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics survey's May 2025 release covers the occupations centers hire for, with medians broken out for child care services (NAICS 6244):
- Childcare workers (SOC 39-9011) — the BLS category that covers aides, assistants and many lead teachers in centers — earned a median of $16.43 per hour ($34,170 a year) in child care services, against $16.82 ($34,980) nationwide. The 10th percentile earned $11.66 nationally and the 90th $22.12.
- Preschool teachers except special education (SOC 25-2011) — lead preschool and pre-K teachers — earned a median of $17.72 per hour ($36,850 a year) in child care services, against $18.34 ($38,140) nationwide. The 10th percentile earned $13.94 nationally and the 90th $29.52.
- Preschool and childcare administrators (SOC 11-9031) — center directors — earned a median of $58,090 a year in child care services, against $59,300 ($28.51 per hour) nationwide.
None of these numbers is a Tutor Time rate.
They are medians for entire occupations and industries, not one company's rates: they tell you the neighborhood, not the house.
The number that counts for you is the pay on a current posting, if it lists any, or in your own offer.

Benefits and the staff child care discount
The clearest public data on working at Tutor Time is Learning Care Group's own benefits list.
On its careers page, the company lists these for team members:
- a 50% child care discount, available from your start date
- paid wellness days
- retirement programs with matching dollars
- DailyPay, which gives immediate or next-day access to earned wages
The same page advertises tuition reimbursement, a fully funded Child Development Associate (CDA) credential program and the company's own Learning Care Master Teacher certification program.
The CDA matters beyond this employer: BLS calls it the credential states most often require of childcare workers who need a national credential, and notes it must be renewed every three years.
What the careers page doesn't break down is eligibility.
The discount is published as 50%, available from your start date; how the other benefits map to roles and schedules is a question for the posting or the interview.

How Tutor Time pay compares with other centers
Chain-vs-chain pay comparisons have no verified data behind them: no chain our research covered publishes wage rates.
We found no SEC filings with workforce detail for Learning Care Group, and our research found no employer-published pay rates for it, Childcare Network, Primrose, Goddard, Kiddie Academy or The Learning Experience.
With no like-for-like employer-published rates, we don't rank chains by pay.
The public companies in our research are KinderCare and Bright Horizons — both file SEC 10-Ks — and even KinderCare's 10-K publishes no teacher hourly pay rates, only “competitive wages” for eligible full-time employees.
Our KinderCare teacher pay page walks through what those filings do and don't show.
Where federal data does support a comparison is between industries, not employers.
In May 2025, preschool teachers earned a median of $17.72 per hour ($36,850 a year) in child care services, versus $27.29 ($56,750) in elementary and secondary schools — where local-government schools paid a median of $61,300 and private schools $44,290.
BLS notes one offset: many public-school preschool teachers work the traditional 10-month school year, while teachers in daycare settings may work year-round with longer hours.
That's the measured gap between a center classroom and a school-based one — not a statement about any single employer.
Tutor Time pay by state and market
Our research found no pay-by-state or city figures from Tutor Time or Learning Care Group, so there's no state-by-state Tutor Time number to quote.
What exists is the local market: BLS publishes May 2025 medians for childcare workers and preschool teachers by state, and posted offers in your city will sit relative to them.
Our daycare teacher salary page carries the state medians for childcare teachers from the same May 2025 release.
Weigh any offer against your state's numbers rather than the national ones — a national median blends every state and employer type.
How to find Tutor Time teacher openings
Learning Care Group recruits for its brands through its own careers site.
A current posting that lists pay is the only genuine Tutor Time number you'll see — note the rate and the date you saw it, because posted ranges move with the market.
Then ask the director how the pieces fit together: where your role and experience fall in any posted range, when each benefit starts, and how the CDA program and the child care discount work in practice.
You can also compare several employers at once.
ChildcareHires lists childcare teacher jobs at centers and preschools, so you can weigh several employers' openings before you apply anywhere.
- The posted pay range for the specific role and classroom, not a brand-wide average
- When each benefit starts — the child care discount is published as day-one; confirm the rest
- What the fully funded CDA program requires in return, if anything
- How a move from assistant to lead teacher changes pay at that school
Career information, not licensing or legal advice. Figures on this page come from Learning Care Group's public careers pages and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, as published when we read them in October 2026. Confirm anything a specific job offers with the employer, and wage-and-hour questions with the U.S. Department of Labor or your state labor agency.
