Duties

• Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to 2-year-olds that support early literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth
• Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies
• Conduct regular assessments of each child's developmental progress using standardized testing methods and observations to inform instruction
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's milestones, challenges, and daily experiences to build strong partnerships
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards by maintaining accurate records of incidents and observations
• Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and professionalism
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements focused on early intervention techniques and inclusive practices for children with special needs

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting, preferably with toddlers aged 2 years old
• Strong knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education best practices, and classroom management techniques
• Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curriculum content that promotes literacy education, physical education, and math readiness
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood development is highly valued
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, staff, and community partners
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure a safe learning environment
• Experience working with children who have special educational needs or are involved in early intervention programs is a plus
• Ability to maintain organized records of lesson plans, assessments, incident reports, and parent communications

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
