First Presbyterian Preschool is seeking a nurturing, energetic, and experienced part-time Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher to join our exceptional team of early childhood educators. We are a faith-based, play-centered preschool committed to creating a joyful and engaging environment where children learn through exploration, creativity, relationships, and discovery.

Summary

Our ideal candidate is a warm and responsive educator who understands the unique developmental needs of two-year-olds and is passionate about helping young children build confidence, independence, language, and social-emotional skills.

Responsibilities

The Lead Teacher will:

• Provide a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
• Plan and implement engaging, hands-on learning experiences aligned with our curriculum
• Foster children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development
• Create weekly lesson plans and classroom activities
• Maintain direct supervision of children at all times
• Build strong, positive relationships with children and families
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily experiences
• Guide children's behavior using positive discipline practices
• Collaborate with co-teachers and administration as part of a supportive team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Comply with all licensing, health, and safety regulations

Qualifications & Credentials

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Florida Child Care 45-Hour Introductory Training completed (or willingness to complete within required timeframe)
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Successful completion of Level II Background Screening
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children ages birth to five

Preferred:

• Child Development Associate (CDA)
• Florida Staff Credential
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or related field
• Experience in a licensed preschool, childcare center, or faith-based early childhood program
• Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices
