Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant-Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster positive developmental experiences, encourage curiosity, and promote social-emotional growth. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development and learning.
• Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap time, and hygiene practices in accordance with safety standards.
• Supervise children closely to ensure their safety and well-being at all times, practicing vigilant child supervision.
• Engage children through play, conversation, and educational activities that stimulate their cognitive and social skills.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster positive relationships.
• Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric first aid, CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws when necessary.

Requirements

• Registered with the Oregon CBR (Central Background Registry) (https://www.oregon.gov/delc/providers/pages/cbr.aspx)
• Food Handler's Card Required
• Pediatric First Aid, CPR required or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Safety Set Trainings required by the state of Oregon (https://www.oregon.gov/delc/providers/pages/required-training.aspx)
• Registered on ORO (https://my.oregonregistryonline.org)

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
