Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team, committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, experience working with children, and a deep understanding of childhood development. This role involves designing and implementing age-appropriate curricula, supporting early childhood education, and collaborating with parents and staff to promote student success. The Teacher will play a vital role in nurturing children's academic, social, and emotional growth through innovative teaching methods and compassionate care.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and stimulating environment conducive to learning.
• Conduct assessments of student progress through standardized testing and formative evaluations; adapt instruction accordingly.
• Facilitate child development instruction focusing on early intervention strategies for diverse learning needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student records.
• Incorporate child welfare practices into daily activities, ensuring health and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR are followed.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom activities, and school events.
• Support children’s social-emotional growth through behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, and early intervention techniques.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a nurturing learning environment.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare.
• Experience teaching physical education or tutoring is a plus; Montessori or preschool teaching experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs across different age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom that promotes child welfare, safety, and holistic development.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
