Duties

• Supervise and care for children aged 1-2 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Implement experience age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development, including child development instruction and preschool activities
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities
• Use positive behavior management techniques to encourage good conduct and social skills
• Follow all mandated reporting laws and health & safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures
• Support children's emotional needs through nurturing interactions, fostering independence, and encouraging socialization
• Document developmental milestones and daily observations to inform ongoing care plans

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is essential
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific teaching strategies
• Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle multiple children effectively
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration
• Ability to adhere to daycare center policies, safety standards, and mandated reporting laws
• Child supervision skills with an emphasis on safety, caregiving, and behavior management

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
