Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support early childhood development and learning objectives
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Facilitate classroom activities that promote social skills, creativity, language development, and motor skills
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately
• Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and CPR when necessary

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
• Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred)
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
• Passion for nurturing young minds and supporting early childhood growth
