Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating best practices in early childhood education and child development standards
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction
• Conduct regular assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and developmental benchmarks to inform instruction
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships
• Incorporate early intervention strategies to support children with special needs or developmental delays, collaborating with specialists as needed
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of incidents, attendance, and developmental observations
• Lead activities that promote physical education, literacy education, math skills, and overall childhood development in accordance with curriculum goals

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention practices
• Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
• Familiarity with special education needs and strategies for inclusive teaching environments
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and developmental levels
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations
• First aid and CPR certification to ensure a safe environment for all children
• Experience with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment
• Skills in teaching physical education activities that promote motor skills development
• Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds including toddlers through preschool age groups
