Join Our Wonderful Preschool Community!

First Presbyterian Preschool is seeking a warm, nurturing, and experienced teacher to join our nationally accredited early childhood program as a co-teacher in our Young Twos Classroom and a valued member of our school-wide teaching team.

At First Presbyterian Preschool, we understand that the developmental differences between a newly turned two-year-old and an older two-year-old can be significant. To best support children's growth, we thoughtfully divide our two-year-old program by developmental stage. Our Young Twos class serves children with primarily spring and summer birthdays and is intentionally designed to meet the unique needs of younger two-year-olds as they develop language, independence, self-regulation, and social skills.

This small class has a maximum enrollment of eight children, allowing teachers to build meaningful relationships and provide individualized support during this important stage of development.

Our play-based program is built on the belief that all learning happens within the context of relationships. We value strong connections with children, families, and colleagues and are committed to creating a joyful, safe, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

About the Role

This position includes serving as a co-teacher in our Young Twos Classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The teacher will collaborate closely with their teaching partner to create a warm, responsive environment where children feel secure, capable, and excited to learn through play.

The Young Twos class meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and maintains a maximum enrollment of eight children. This classroom is intentionally designed for children with primarily spring and summer birthdays, recognizing that the developmental differences between younger and older two-year-olds can be significant.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the teacher will serve as a school-wide floater, supporting classrooms throughout the preschool. Responsibilities may include assisting teachers, supporting Lunch Bunch and enrichment programs, covering absences, helping with transitions, and providing an extra set of hands wherever needed.

This unique role is ideal for an educator who enjoys building relationships across multiple age groups while partnering with a co-teacher to nurture a small classroom of young learners. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, and enjoys being an active member of the entire preschool community.
