Position Overview

Wesleyan Kiddie Kollege is seeking a loving, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team! We are looking for someone who has a heart for children, a passion for early childhood education, and a desire to help children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that encourage learning and development.
• Incorporate Christian values, Bible stories, prayer, and worship into daily classroom activities.
• Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines, expectations, and positive behavior management.
• Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist children with daily needs, including meals, toileting, diapering, and personal hygiene as appropriate for their age.
• Encourage independence, positive social interactions, and age-appropriate developmental skills.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Communicate professionally and positively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities.
• Work cooperatively with fellow teachers, administration, and support staff.
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Assist with school events, special activities, and other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• A personal commitment to Christian values and a willingness to support the mission of Wesleyan Kiddie Kollege.
• Previous experience working with young children preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining consistent attendance.
• Patient, compassionate, energetic, and enthusiastic about working with children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to manage a classroom while providing a nurturing and structured learning environment.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and accept constructive feedback.
• Ability to meet all applicable employment, background check, and training requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and assist young children as needed.
• Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, stand, and actively participate in classroom activities.
• Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
