Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
• Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Engage in classroom management strategies to maintain an organized, safe space conducive to learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
• Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and welfare are prioritized at all times.
• Incorporate early intervention techniques to support children with special education needs or developmental delays.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
• Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing methods.
• Excellent classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques.
• Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Knowledge of special education strategies and experience working with children requiring additional support.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential.
• Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement into daily activities is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to foster child welfare through attentive care and nurturing interactions.
• Prior daycare or private school experience is preferred; familiarity with early intervention programs is advantageous.
