Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, literacy education, math, physical education, and child welfare practices.
• Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
• Support early intervention efforts by identifying children’s individual needs and collaborating with specialists when necessary.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and promote active engagement in their child's learning journey.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety.
• Conduct classroom activities that promote physical activity, literacy skills, and cognitive development aligned with childhood development standards.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols, managing classroom behavior effectively, and ensuring overall child safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience and teaching experience with young children.
• Knowledge of early childhood education best practices, including curriculum development, lesson planning, child development instruction, and standardized testing where applicable.
• Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and external specialists.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are preferred.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Experience working with toddlers or in private school environments is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
