Future Generation Early Learning Center is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We are seeking a passionate and creative Preschool / Pre-K Teacher to prepare children for kindergarten success through hands-on learning and meaningful experiences.

Position Summary

The Preschool / Pre-K Teacher is responsible for creating a structured, engaging classroom that promotes school readiness while supporting each child’s individual development. This role focuses on fostering independence, critical thinking, and a love of learning through play-based education.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Instruction

• Implement the HighScope curriculum using a hands-on, active learning approach
• Plan and lead engaging daily lessons that support kindergarten readiness
• Observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress
• Encourage problem-solving, language development, and social skills

Classroom Environment & Management

• Create a structured, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
• Maintain consistent routines and smooth transitions throughout the day
• Use positive discipline strategies and respectful communication
• Encourage independence and self-help skills

Health & Safety

• Maintain constant sight and sound supervision of children
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Conduct daily health checks and maintain a clean, safe classroom
• Ensure compliance with licensing standards and center policies

Communication & Teamwork

• Build strong relationships with families through daily communication
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide progress updates
• Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership
• Maintain accurate classroom documentation and reports
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training

Qualifications

• CDA, CCP, AA, or BA in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• Experience teaching preschool or Pre-K (ages 3–5) preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Passion for early childhood education and school readiness
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule

• Full-time
• Must be flexible to meet classroom ratios and center needs

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
