Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy education, math skills, social-emotional learning, and overall childhood development.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence among preschool children.
• Manage classroom activities effectively to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior management.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster collaborative relationships.
• Conduct assessments of child development progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate.
• Incorporate specialized techniques such as Montessori methods or early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior reports, lesson plans, and compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in preschool teaching.
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
• Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or Montessori certification preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus.
