Preschool Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management strategies.
• Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring all children are engaged and supported in their individual growth and development.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting child welfare concerns and collaborating with support staff when necessary.
• Incorporate early intervention strategies to support children with special education needs or developmental delays.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of childhood development best practices, classroom management techniques, and relevant regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications.

Experience

• Bachelor's in ECE or related field. If you have an associates in ECE you must have a plan to continue and receive your Bachelor's.
• Prior teaching experience working with young children in preschool or toddler care settings is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques tailored for early childhood education.
• Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support staff.
• Previous experience in school environments or similar educational settings is a plus.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; will train if needed. Ongoing professional development in childhood development topics is required.

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
