Preschool & Daycare Lead Teachers

We have exciting opportunities and are hiring for multiple preschools, daycares, and childcare centers in the Bronx. We are looking for Lead Teachers and Group Teachers for our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, including Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

Compensation varies by position, experience, education, credentials, and qualifications.

Lead Teacher Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, lesson plans, and activities that promote children's physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and language development
• Maintain classroom records, observations, child assessments, and other required documentation
• Lead and collaborate effectively with Assistant Teachers and other classroom and program staff
• Build strong relationships with children and families and participate in parent engagement, conferences, and family communication
• Support the individual developmental needs of children and collaborate with families and program staff as needed
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures while supervising children at all times

Lead Teacher Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required
• Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in a daycare, preschool, childcare center, Head Start, Early Head Start, or similar early childhood setting
• NYS Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) Certification is required or preferred depending on the position
• Infant/Toddler CDA credential or formal coursework in infant/toddler development is required for certain Early Head Start positions
