What You’ll Do

• Plan fun, age-appropriate activities that support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Create a welcoming classroom where children feel safe, included, and excited to learn.
• Encourage curiosity, independence, confidence, kindness, and positive friendships.
• Support children through daily routines, transitions, meals, rest, and toileting as appropriate.
• Keep children safe through attentive supervision and follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements.
• Get to know each child’s interests and progress, and share thoughtful updates with families and the school director.
• Work closely with classroom assistants and fellow teachers to create a caring, consistent experience.
• Prepare classroom materials, keep the learning space organized, and join staff meetings and school activities.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with young children in a preschool or early childhood setting.
• Meets California licensing requirements for a Lead Teacher position.
• A caring, patient, energetic, and dependable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Early childhood education units or a Child Development Teacher Permit are preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
