Preschool Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement dynamic, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods if applicable.
• Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills among preschool-aged children.
• Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management to promote a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about children's progress, milestones, and any special needs or interventions required.
• Incorporate curriculum development strategies that support literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall childhood development.
• Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications.
• Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services by implementing tailored instructional strategies.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of child development principles, including toddler care and childhood welfare practices.
• Proficiency in curriculum development across various domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to foster a collaborative educational environment.
• Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young learners to promote holistic growth.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and health & safety procedures including first aid and CPR certification.
• Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, standardized testing preparation when applicable, and maintaining detailed classroom records.
