Preschool Lead Teacher

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, promote positive behavior, and build strong relationships with children, families, and staff. Duties

• Develop and execute creative, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with preschool standards and curriculum frameworks such as Montessori or other educational philosophies.
• Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, literacy, math skills, physical development, and early intervention strategies.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or digital platforms.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality instructional delivery and classroom management.
• Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications.
• Collaborate with colleagues to assess student development through observations and standardized testing when appropriate, adjusting instruction to meet diverse needs including special education requirements.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
• Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, physical education activities, and early intervention programs.
• Ability to implement Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
• Skilled in behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions among children.
• Experience in daycare or early childhood education preferred; certification in first aid and CPR is required.

Pay: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
