Are you an early riser who loves working with young children?
The Learning Experience - Bushwick is seeking an experienced Part-Time Morning Floater Teacher to help our classrooms get off to a great start each day.
You'll welcome children and families, provide classroom coverage, support morning routines, and move between classrooms based on daily staffing and enrollment needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome children and families during morning arrival
- Provide classroom coverage across age groups as needed
- Engage children through play, stories, conversation, and age-appropriate activities
- Support breakfast, diapering, toileting, and other morning routines as needed
- Help maintain classroom ratios and smooth transitions
- Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management
- Communicate professionally with teachers, families, and center leadership
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized classroom environments
- Follow New York licensing and center requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood experience required
- Comfortable working with multiple age groups
- Reliable and consistently available for early morning shifts
- Flexible, energetic, and able to adapt quickly between classrooms
- Must meet applicable New York licensing requirements
