Coast Kids Preschool in Carlsbad is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Morning TWO'S Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This part-time position is ideal for educators passionate about fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The teacher will be responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities, managing classroom routines, and supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards as appropriate
• Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
• Manage daily classroom routines such as circle time, snack time, and outdoor activities
• Support children's social-emotional development through positive behavior management strategies
• Assess individual student progress using observational techniques and standardized testing when applicable
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
• Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques when necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation of student activities and developmental assessments
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
• Experience with special education, behavior management, and early intervention strategies is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to foster an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs including literacy education and Montessori methods if applicable
• Childcare certification or relevant educational credentials in early childhood education preferred
