Montessori Toddler Teacher

St. Andrew's Episcopal School in the Heights is seeking a Montessori toddler assistant teacher. This is a full-time position with hours of 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. Our assistant teachers play an important role in our classrooms. They help foster independence, confidence, and a love of learning.

As an assistant Montessori toddler teacher, your duties will include:

-Preparing the environment daily

- Caring for and interacting with children 18 months - 3years old using the Montessori Method

- Assisting children with toileting, diapering, dressing, and other daily activities

- Build warm, respectful relationships with children, families, and co-workers

- Work with lead teacher to create a nurturing, normalized community

- Observe children daily and share insights with lead teacher

- Help document children's progress using Transparent Classroom

- Help lead teacher complete and conduct conferences

What we are looking for:

- Experience working with children 12 months old to 6 years old

- Montessori experience is preferred

- A genuine love for working with young children

- Age 18 or older

- High School diploma or equivalent

- Ability to pass background check and FBI fingerprinting

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Professional and well organized

Pay: $35,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
