Our Montessori school in Rockwall, TX is looking for an Toddler Teacher to work with children 18 months to 2 years old.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early childhood educator who enjoys a busy, hands-on classroom and wants to help toddlers learn through exploration, movement, meaningful experiences, and positive relationships.

What You'll Do

As an Toddler Teacher, you will work closely with the assistant teacher and classroom team to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for toddlers.

Your day will include:

• Providing warm, responsive care for children ages 18 months–2 years.
• Supporting toddlers as they develop independence, confidence, language, and social skills.
• Assisting with developmentally appropriate Montessori activities and experiences.
• Encouraging children to explore their environment and make choices independently.
• Supporting daily routines such as meals, diapering, toileting, naps, and transitions.
• Helping toddlers learn positive ways to express emotions and interact with others.
• Redirecting challenging behaviors with patience, consistency, and positive guidance.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
• Ensuring all children are properly supervised and accounted for at all times.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with children and their families.
• Communicating with parents about their child's day, development, health, and well-being.
• Assisting with lesson planning, curriculum activities, portfolios, and classroom documentation.
• Notifying parents and school leadership about illnesses, injuries, or significant changes in a child's behavior or well-being.
• Following Fractal Education Group policies and Texas Child Care Licensing requirements.
• Understanding and fulfilling mandated reporter responsibilities.
• Participating in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and parent conferences.
• Supporting the classroom team and school with additional responsibilities when needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA credential, Early Childhood Education, or Montessori coursework preferred.
• Montessori experience preferred.
• 2–3 years of early childhood experience preferred.
• Experience working with toddlers preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to pass required background checks and meet Texas Child Care Licensing eligibility requirements.
• Must meet all applicable state education and regulatory requirements.
