Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Summary

Duties

• Lead daily classroom activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning and structured lessons tailored to toddlers’ needs
• Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to express themselves confidently and comfortably
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and caregivers, ensuring high-quality care and educational support
• Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones for ongoing assessment and communication with families
• Enforce safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures and emergency response readiness
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to share insights on their child's growth and address any concerns proactively

Requirements

• Proven experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in daycare or classroom settings
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and behavior management techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly valued
• Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment
• Experience with caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting that involved toddler care is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members effectively
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm in a fast-paced setting
