Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners during their critical early childhood years. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages, and foster a warm, supportive environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Lead daily classroom activities that support toddler care, early intervention strategies, behavior management, and childhood development instruction.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment by managing classroom routines and behavior effectively.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns related to child welfare or classroom experiences.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress and incidents.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides to promote teamwork and consistent instructional quality.
• Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
• Strong background in curriculum development, literacy education, and classroom management techniques tailored for toddlers.
• Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management practices.
• Familiarity with childhood development principles, Montessori methods, and preschool teaching standards.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in child welfare or mandated reporting laws are preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate math, physical education, and other core subjects for young learners.
• Experience with classroom experience involving standardized testing or assessments is advantageous.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
