Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom activities that promote early childhood education and toddler development, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, storytime, and sensory activities.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with preschool standards and developmental milestones.
• Foster a nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being, social skills, and positive behavior management.
• Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining strict supervision, adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, share observations, and address individual needs or concerns.
• Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering or potty training assistance, meal times, nap schedules, and transitions.
• Maintain accurate records of children's development milestones, attendance, and incident reports while ensuring compliance with licensing regulations.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, specifically with toddlers or infants.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills in early childhood education environments.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for working with young children.
• Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable.
• Experience with behavior management techniques tailored to toddlers to promote positive social interactions.
• Background in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting that involved working closely with young children is advantageous.
