Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom activities tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers and infants, ensuring an engaging and supportive environment.
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in young children.
• Supervise children closely to ensure their safety at all times, adhering to child supervision best practices and classroom management strategies.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships.
• Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
• Collaborate with team members to create inclusive lesson plans that incorporate special education strategies when needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications, pediatric first aid procedures, and sanitation standards.

Skills

• Proven experience working with young children in daycare centers or preschool settings, including toddler care and infant care.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management skills.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and knowledge of mandated reporting laws.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs using inclusive teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a nurturing environment.
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles, daycare experience, nannying or babysitting background is highly valued.
