Lead Preschool/Pre-K Teacher

The Oakling School is looking for a caring, experienced, and dependable Lead Preschool/Pre-K Teacher to join our growing team! Experience is required.

We are seeking an enthusiastic early childhood educator who genuinely enjoys working with young children and can create a warm, engaging, and well-organized classroom where children feel safe, supported, confident, and excited to learn.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and curriculum for preschool and Pre-K children.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment that encourages learning, exploration, and independence.
• Support each child's social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Establish consistent classroom routines and use positive, age-appropriate guidance strategies.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and their families.
• Communicate professionally and positively with parents about children's daily experiences, progress, and development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Complete required classroom documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with Assistant Teachers and other team members to provide consistent care and learning experiences.
• Communicate and collaborate with school leadership regarding classroom needs and children's development.
• Follow all state licensing requirements, health and safety guidelines, and school policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with preschool or Pre-K children preferred.
• Previous lead teacher experience in an early childhood setting preferred.
• CDA, TCC, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or other relevant credentials are a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills.
• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and professional.
• A genuine passion for helping young children learn, grow, and develop confidence.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive teaching team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality care and early learning experiences.
