Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula, promote social-emotional growth, and build strong relationships with children, families, and staff. Duties

  • Develop and execute innovative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills
  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management
  • Assess individual child development needs through observations and standardized testing to tailor instruction effectively
  • Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
  • Supervise classroom activities ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR protocols
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement curriculum development strategies and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services to promote optimal growth
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress, incident reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with mandated reporting laws

Skills

  • Extensive experience working with children in preschool or early childhood settings
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in preschool teaching
  • Proficiency in curriculum development across core subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning
  • Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and engagement
  • Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
  • Familiarity with special education strategies and early intervention programs
  • Ability to implement standardized testing methods accurately for assessment purposes
  • Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations
  • First aid and CPR certification to ensure emergency preparedness
  • Experience working in private school environments or similar educational settings is a plus
