Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for preschool children.
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, promoting positive interactions and respect among children.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality classroom management and instructional practices.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies while maintaining accurate documentation of student progress.
• Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
• Maintain certifications in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during all activities.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings; previous classroom experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education standards, and classroom management techniques.
• Demonstrated ability in curriculum development across core areas such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles while maintaining a structured classroom environment.
