Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote infant development, including motor skills, sensory exploration, and social-emotional growth
• Provide attentive child supervision, ensuring safety and well-being at all times in accordance with licensing standards and best practices
• Foster positive interactions with infants to support their emotional security and curiosity
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, demonstrating readiness to handle emergencies with confidence

Skills

• Proven experience working with infants in daycare, preschool, or similar childcare settings
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and infant care best practices
• Strong classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible environment for young children
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with parents, colleagues, and children
• Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
• Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training encouraged
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws and behavior management techniques for infants
• Passion for early childhood education with a nurturing attitude that promotes trust and curiosity
