Infant /Toddler Teacher/Teaching Assistant ECE

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher or Assistant to support our educators in providing a high-quality learning experience for students. Preference will be given to individuals that are looking for long term employment. We provide care and education for ages 6 wks to 6 years. The ideal candidate will have a passion for infants and toddler education with a strong understanding of or willingness to learn childhood development. This role involves working closely with teachers and assistants to facilitate classroom activities, manage behavior, and assist students in their learning journey. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities.
• Support students with their play based academic learning.
• Ability to work as a team and adapt easily to consistent flexibility within the daily work environment is an absolute must.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive learning environment by using the Conscious Discipline Curriculum.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive educational atmosphere.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, and recess to ensure safety and engagement.
• Provide individualized support for students with special needs or disabilities, promoting an inclusive classroom.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Participation in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development is required continuously throughout the year.

Requirements

• Previous experience in childcare, daycare, or as a teaching assistant is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and special education practices is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to multitask continuously throughout the day.
• A love for providing happy, high energy fun with singing, dancing and just being positive throughout the day!
• Understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to support diverse learning needs.
• Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
