Infant Assistant Teacher / Float

Little Beginnings Learning Center | Hastings, MN

Baby snuggles, bottles, tummy time, stroller walks, diaper changes, first smiles, first steps, and a whole lot of personality packed into very tiny humans.

Little Beginnings Learning Center is actively hiring an Assistant Teacher to float between our two Infant Classrooms.

This position will support both of our infant teaching teams based on daily classroom needs, staffing, schedules, and enrollment. There is also the possibility of a permanent position opening in one of our Infant Classrooms, making this a great opportunity for someone who ultimately wants to settle into their own consistent infant teaching team.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Meets or is working toward Minnesota Assistant Teacher qualifications
• Has experience working with infants or young children
• Is dependable and flexible
• Can comfortably move between two infant classrooms
• Understands that infant care is about far more than feeding and diapering
• Can follow individual feeding, sleeping, and care routines
• Communicates well with coworkers and families
• Is attentive, nurturing, patient, and engaged
• Enjoys getting outside with infants and supporting early exploration
• Is comfortable working in a faith-based environment

Our infant teachers spend their days building relationships, talking, singing, playing on the floor, supporting milestones, getting outdoors, and providing responsive care based on each baby's individual needs.

And yes—there are lots of diapers. We're not going to pretend otherwise.

Why a Float Position?

You'll get the opportunity to know both of our infant classrooms, teaching teams, children, and routines while becoming an important part of the Infant Program as a whole.

As our enrollment and staffing needs evolve, there is the potential for this role to transition into a permanent position within one of our Infant Classrooms.

If babies are your happy place and you're looking for a center where relationships, nature, faith, and developmentally appropriate care matter, we'd love to meet you.
