Overview

We are opening three home-based childcare programs and hiring a dedicated Director / Lead Teacher for each location. This is a hands-on position that combines daily classroom teaching and caregiving with responsibility for overseeing the assigned home daycare.

The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, organized, and comfortable leading a small childcare program. You will work directly with children while creating a safe, welcoming environment, supporting staff, and building positive relationships with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision, care, and hands-on instruction for children. Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support learning, language, social skills, and physical development. Establish consistent routines for meals, play, learning, diapering, toileting, and rest. Oversee daily operations and help prepare the home daycare for opening. Maintain required supervision and staff-to-child ratios at all times. Guide additional staff and coordinate daily assignments and classroom coverage. Communicate with families about children’s progress, daily experiences, and concerns. Support enrollment, conduct tours, and welcome new families. Maintain attendance, emergency contacts, incident reports, and other required records. Follow applicable licensing requirements and program policies. Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to program guidelines and children’s dietary needs. Keep classrooms, toys, equipment, and care areas clean, sanitized, and organized. Use positive guidance and support children with different abilities and developmental needs. Follow health, safety, medication, and emergency procedures. Monitor supplies and communicate staffing, maintenance, and program needs to ownership. Work closely with ownership to maintain consistent, high-quality care.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
