Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum aligned with Head Start Performance Standards
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development
• Observe, assess, and document child progress to guide instruction
• Build strong, respectful partnerships with families
• Maintain compliance with licensing, health, and safety requirements
• Collaborate with teaching staff, family services, and specialists

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required or in progress, per Head Start requirements)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to meet Head Start and state licensing requirements, including background checks

Pay: $20.06 - $22.92 per hour
