EXPERIENCED PRESCHOOL TEACHER

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching young children, with a focus on fostering developmental growth, creating engaging classroom environments, and maintaining effective communication with parents. This role requires a passionate individual committed to nurturing children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills through age-appropriate activities and instruction. The Preschool Teacher will play a vital role in supporting childhood development and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Duties

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, promoting early childhood education principles.
• Conduct daily classroom activities that support childhood development, including social skills, motor skills, language acquisition, and cognitive growth.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment through effective classroom management strategies.
• Observe and assess children's progress through regular observations and documentation to inform instructional strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, adhering to safety protocols to ensure children's well-being.
• Collaborate with leadership and advocacy teams to support program goals and participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education.
• Uphold all childcare regulations and standards related to preschool teaching practices.

Skills

• Proven experience in early childhood education and teaching young children in a preschool setting.
• Strong understanding of childhood development theories and instructional methods tailored for preschoolers.
• Excellent classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment.
• Effective communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols.
• Ability to observe children’s behaviors critically and use observations for instructional planning.
• First aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment.
• Experience with observations from leadership and advocacy perspectives is preferred.
• Passionate about fostering a nurturing environment that supports the holistic development of young children.
