Experienced Preschool Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves engaging with toddlers abd preschoolers in a supportive and nurturing environment, facilitating their learning and development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong classroom management skills, and be committed to fostering a positive and safe space for students to thrive academically and socially.

Duties

• Supervise and engage students in structured and unstructured activities following the school day
• Implement lesson plans that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and behavior management strategies
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and inclusive environment
• Support students with special education needs or behavioral challenges as needed
• Coordinate with parents, school staff, and other caregivers to ensure consistent communication about student progress
• Organize activities such as arts & crafts to enhance social skills and creativity

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare or childcare programs
• Knowledge of childhood development, early childhood education, and behavior management techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR is mandatory
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment
• Background in special education or experience working with students with diverse needs is desirable
• Excellent communication skills and patience when working with children of various ages and backgrounds
• Eligible DCF Level 1 Background Screening on file
• DCF 45 Hours completed
• CDA certification
