At Active Learners Academy, we believe children learn best through play, meaningful relationships, and hands-on experiences. We have built a close-knit community where many of our families have been with us for years and our teachers stay because they genuinely enjoy coming to work.

We're looking for someone who is kind, calm, dependable, organized, and eager to make a positive impact on young children every day. Childcare experience is a plus, but it isn't the most important qualification—we're happy to train someone who has the right heart and a willingness to learn.

A Typical Day

Our days are active and engaging!

Children spend plenty of time outdoors, enjoy daily art projects, water play, circle time, learning centers, stories, music, movement, and meaningful play. We believe children learn best by exploring, creating, asking questions, and forming strong relationships with caring adults.

The Person We're Looking For

You'll be a great fit if you are:

• Dependable and punctual—we rely on every teacher to keep our classrooms safe and fully staffed.
• Organized and willing to jump in wherever needed.

• Someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with children throughout the day instead of watching from the sidelines.

What This Job Is Really Like

Working with young children is incredibly rewarding—but it can also be busy, messy, and physically active.

You'll spend much of your day:

• Sitting on the floor and playing with children.
• Reading books and engaging in conversation.
• Singing, dancing, and participating in activities.
• Supervising outdoor play.
• Assisting children with daily routines.
• Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the day.

Applicants should be able to regularly stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
