Job Type: Part-Time with potential for Full-Time

Schedule:

• Monday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Optional on-call availability Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
• Opportunity to transition into a full-time position as staffing needs grow

Job Description

Hayden Early Learning Center is looking for a dependable, caring, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team!

We are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, is passionate about early childhood education, and can help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.

This position currently offers a consistent Monday and Friday schedule, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts throughout the week as needed. There is also potential for this position to grow into a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for children.
• Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day.
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate learning activities.
• Assist with daily classroom routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and outdoor play.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom.
• Communicate professionally with families and coworkers.
• Follow all Oregon childcare licensing rules and center policies.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers to provide quality care.

Requirements

• Must meet Oregon's teacher qualification requirements for a Certified Child Care Center.
• Must have an active enrollment in Oregon's Central Background Registry (CBR).
• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work with different age groups as needed.
• Must be patient, dependable, and passionate about working with children.
