Director of Daycare

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Director of Daycare to lead our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. As the Director, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with all regulations while promoting the development and well-being of each child in our care.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports childhood development and learning objectives.
• Supervise and mentor daycare staff, providing guidance on best practices in childcare and classroom management.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication regarding their child's progress.
• Manage enrollment processes, including tours for prospective families and maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with staff to create individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities.
• Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement behavior management strategies as needed.
• Organize training sessions for staff on topics such as first aid, special education, and effective caregiving techniques.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Experience working with children in various capacities such as daycare, preschool, or nannying.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Ability to develop engaging activities that support toddler care, infant care, and overall childhood development.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with parents, staff, and children.
• A background in special education or experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable.
• First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all children in care.
