POSITION OVERVIEW

Little Tots Preschool Academy is recruiting experienced, Florida DCF-credentialed Childcare Center Directors for our planned seven-day childcare and early education facility.

Our educational programs are being developed to serve children from 6 weeks old through third grade, including infant and toddler care, preschool, VPK, school-age education, tutoring, and early childhood workforce training.

We seek qualified leaders to assist with facility opening preparations, licensing, staffing, program development, and ongoing childcare operations.

AVAILABLE WORK SCHEDULES

• Part-Time Director: 3 days per week
• Part-Time Director: 2 days per week
• Full-Time Director: Up to 5 days per week
• Weekend availability preferred
• Flexible scheduling based on operational requirements

The facility is planned to operate seven days per week. Management and supervisory coverage will be arranged in accordance with applicable childcare licensing requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily childcare center operations.
• Maintain compliance with Florida DCF childcare licensing standards.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise childcare teachers and assistants.
• Manage child enrollment, attendance, parent communication, and records.
• Maintain required staff-to-child ratios and safety procedures.
• Coordinate infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age programming.
• Support ELC School Readiness and VPK participation.
• Assist with inspections, licensing documentation, and facility readiness.
• Coordinate age-appropriate educational activities and curriculum.
• Support CDA training, staff mentoring, and professional development.
• Help develop operational policies, emergency procedures, and quality assurance systems.
• Work with TDPC leadership on staffing plans, program expansion, and educational services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current Florida DCF Child Care Director Credential.
• Ability to satisfy Florida Level 2 background screening requirements.
• Experience in childcare administration or center supervision.
• Knowledge of Florida childcare licensing and supervision standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential child and family records.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Five or more years of childcare leadership experience.
• CDA, FCCPC, or early childhood education degree.
• Experience with ELC School Readiness and VPK.
• Experience supervising infant and toddler classrooms.
• Experience mentoring or training childcare professionals.
• Familiarity with extended-hour or weekend childcare operations.

COMPENSATION

Pay: $48,500.00 - $57,586.00 per year
