Daycare Teacher

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote learning and growth in preschool, toddler, and infant care settings
• Foster a safe, welcoming environment by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols within the classroom
• Support children's social-emotional development through positive behavior management and caregiving techniques
• Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to communicate with parents and guardians effectively
• Engage children in playful learning activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and early childhood education principles
• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure comfort and well-being
• Collaborate with team members to plan classroom activities, manage behavior challenges, and uphold licensing standards

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar roles is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior management effectively
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to work hands-on with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a caring manner
• Flexibility to adapt to changing routines and individual needs of children in a daycare setting

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
