Responsibilities

• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement
• Assist lead teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, and implementing age-appropriate educational activities
• Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions and behavior management techniques
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes learning and safety
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily activities
• Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure children's safety and well-being are prioritized at all times
• Administer basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, following established health protocols

Skills

• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and social skills
• Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to perform child supervision confidently while maintaining a lively yet safe environment
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or child safety are highly desirable
• Experience with infant care, toddler care, or nannying is beneficial for supporting diverse age groups
