Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
• Support classroom management by helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Communicate effectively with children to encourage positive behavior and foster a caring atmosphere
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws when necessary
• Collaborate with lead teachers to observe and document each child's progress and needs
• Engage with parents through regular updates and open communication about their child's day and development

Skills

• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood settings
• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid training
• Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle behavior management effectively
• Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom
• Ability to perform caregiving duties such as infant care or toddler care as needed
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
• Experience with childcare routines including diapering, feeding, and supervising active play

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
