Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical activity, and social-emotional learning tailored to various developmental stages.
• Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual needs are met through personalized child development instruction.
• Manage classroom environments effectively with strong classroom management techniques, maintaining a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and exploration.
• Engage in behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and support children’s emotional regulation.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering collaborative relationships.
• Conduct assessments aligned with childhood development standards and standardized testing when appropriate to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, maintain safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification, and uphold child welfare standards at all times.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or private school environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or other specialized areas such as special education or early intervention.
• Knowledge of child development principles, classroom experience managing diverse groups of young learners, and familiarity with behavior management techniques.
• Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
• Experience implementing early childhood education best practices with a focus on childhood development milestones.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood education or special education are highly valued.
• Proven ability to adapt teaching strategies for children with varying needs, including those requiring special accommodations or interventions.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
