Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Support lead teachers with classroom management, lesson implementation, and child development instruction
• Provide care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs as assigned
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and social interactions to foster development
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and daily experiences
• Follow all mandated reporting laws and health & safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and support staff in maintaining a positive, organized atmosphere

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and compliance with mandated reporting laws required or willing to obtain upon hire
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle behavior management effectively
• Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple classrooms or care settings as needed

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
