Responsibilities

• Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
• Supervise and support teaching staff by providing guidance on child development instruction, classroom management, behavior management, and curriculum implementation
• Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations such as first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and childcare licensing standards
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster trust and transparency
• Coordinate staff schedules, training sessions in early childhood education best practices, and ongoing professional development opportunities
• Oversee enrollment processes, maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental assessments
• Lead efforts to incorporate special education strategies and adapt activities for children with disabilities or additional needs

Skills

• Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
• Strong classroom experience with effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification preferred
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect
• Excellent communication skills to engage parents positively and professionally
• Experience working in daycare centers or early childhood education settings; nannying or babysitting experience is valuable
• Ability to lead a team of educators while fostering a collaborative work environment
• Commitment to creating an inclusive space that supports early childhood education goals through engaging activities aligned with developmental milestones

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
